DEER PARK, AL — The Washington County Master Gardeners held their annual plant sale at the Chatom Town Square.

The sale featured a wide variety of native plants, vegetables, herbs, and flowers suited to the Alabama climate.

Master Gardener volunteers were on hand to provide planting advice and answer gardening questions.

Proceeds from the sale support the Master Gardener program's community education and demonstration garden projects.

The event drew 174 shoppers from across Washington County and neighboring areas.

The Master Gardener program is offered through the Alabama Cooperative Extension System and accepts new volunteer trainees each year.
