DEER PARK, AL — A Washington County man was arrested following a high-speed chase on U.S. Highway 45 near Millry.

Deputies attempted a traffic stop around 8:30 p.m. when the driver allegedly fled at speeds exceeding 90 mph.

The pursuit lasted approximately 3 miles before the suspect's vehicle left the roadway.

The suspect faces charges including attempting to elude law enforcement and reckless driving.

No other vehicles were involved and no injuries were reported.

The suspect is being held at the Washington County Jail in Chatom.
