WASHINGTON COUNTY, AL — The Washington County Library System has received a $75,000 grant for technology upgrades and expanded digital services.

The grant will fund new computers, improved internet connectivity, and digital literacy programs for residents.

Library Director said the upgrades ensure rural residents have access to the same digital resources as larger communities.

Improvements will be implemented at both the main library in Chatom and branch locations.

The grant will also support computer skills classes for seniors and after-school technology programs.

The library serves as a critical community resource providing free internet access and educational materials.
