CHATOM, AL — The Washington County Anglers Club hosted its annual bass tournament on the Tombigbee River, drawing 7 participants.
The tournament featured cash prizes for the top three heaviest catches and a big bass prize.
This year's winning catch weighed in at just over 8 pounds, one of the largest in the tournament's history.

The Tombigbee River and its tributaries are renowned for excellent bass fishing opportunities.
Proceeds from the tournament support the Anglers Club's youth fishing education program.
The club plans to host additional tournaments throughout the year. Membership is open to all Washington County residents.
