LEROY, AL — A community garden in Wagarville is providing fresh produce to the local food bank.

The garden donates a significant portion of its harvest to families in need.

Organizers said the garden serves dual purposes: nutrition and community gathering.

The project was launched with support from the Alabama Cooperative Extension System.

Volunteers grow tomatoes, okra, squash, beans, peppers, and greens.
