DEER PARK, AL — The Millry High School Marching Band earned a Superior rating at the Alabama State Marching Band Festival.

The band of 26 musicians performed a program showcasing technical skill and musicality.

Band Director said the Superior rating resulted from months of rigorous rehearsal.

Millry's band program is a source of community pride, performing at local events and football games.

The achievement is notable for a school of Millry's size competing against much larger schools.

The school's music program is supported by the band booster club and community fundraising.
