WASHINGTON COUNTY, AL — The Leroy High School FFA chapter won first place at the regional agriculture competition.

Students competed in livestock evaluation, agricultural mechanics, forestry, and public speaking.

FFA Advisor credited students' dedication and the county's strong agricultural heritage.

The chapter maintains a school farm for hands-on experience in crop production and animal husbandry.

Leroy FFA has been a consistently strong competitor in regional and state events.

The state FFA competition will be held later this year.
