MILLRY, AL — Chatom Elementary hosted its annual science fair with record student participation.

Over 12 students presented projects in biology, chemistry, physics, and environmental science.

Winning projects included studies on water quality, soil types, and native wildlife behavior.

The science fair builds on the school's recognition for 100% reading proficiency in early grades.

Parents and community members viewed projects during an evening reception.

Top-placing students will advance to the regional science fair.
