MILLRY, AL — The annual Washington County Pecan Festival drew record crowds to Chatom for a day of food, crafts, music, and family fun.

The festival celebrates the region's pecan harvest with cooking contests, pecan-themed treats, and live entertainment.

Vendors from across south Alabama offered handmade crafts, baked goods, and locally produced items.

A pecan pie baking contest was a highlight, with entries judged by local chefs and community leaders.

Organizers estimated attendance at over 19000 visitors, making it the largest festival turnout in the event's history.

The Pecan Festival is organized by the Washington County Chamber of Commerce and is held annually each November.
