MCINTOSH, AL — Alabama Law Enforcement Agency troopers are investigating a fatal single-vehicle accident near Millry late Monday evening.

The vehicle left the roadway on a curve and struck a tree. The driver was pronounced deceased at the scene.

The identity of the victim is being withheld pending notification of next of kin.

ALEA's Highway Patrol Division is leading the investigation into the cause of the accident.

The accident occurred on a stretch of road identified as a high-risk area due to sharp curves.
