DEER PARK, AL — ALDOT has announced a resurfacing project for County Road 87, addressing long-standing road condition concerns.

The project will resurface approximately 178 miles of roadway with improved drainage and shoulder work.

The project is part of a broader investment in rural road infrastructure across southwest Alabama.

Construction is expected to begin within months and be completed in 12 weeks.

Local residents have lobbied for improvements citing potholes and deteriorating pavement.

The Road and Bridge Department will coordinate to minimize disruptions during construction.
